Pack Shiba inu: GM1-gangliosidosi, GM2-gangliosidosi, A-locus ed E-locus

Pannello multi-malattia per lo Shiba inu che raggruppa quattro test molecolari: gangliosidosi GM1 (GLB1), gangliosidosi GM2 (HEXB) e due loci del mantello —A-locus (ASIP) ed E-locus (MC1R, allele e1)—. Combina due gravi malattie neurometaboliche, entrambe autosomiche recessive e letali in omozigosi, con due marcatori del mantello utili per l'allevamento.
Incidenza
Razza applicabile: Shiba inu. GM1 (GLB1): frequenza dei portatori intorno all'1-3 % descritta in Giappone (Uddin et al., 2013; PMID 23819787); fuori dal Giappone, dati limitati. GM2 (HEXB): variante rara ma distribuita (Kolicheski 2017; Wang 2018), senza cifre affidabili di frequenza. A-locus ed E-locus: caratteri del mantello senza frequenza di popolazione pubblicata in modo sistematico (dati limitati).
Gestione dell'allevatore
- Genotipizzare i riproduttori prima dell'accoppiamento; il pannello copre quattro condizioni/marcatori in un solo campione\n- Per GM1 e GM2 (recessive): non incrociare due portatori — rischio del 25% di omozigoti colpiti; portatore×indenne è sicuro per la progenie destinata all'allevamento se testata\n- Per A- ed E-locus: orientano la previsione del mantello; non implicano malattia, ma informano l'acquirente sulla genetica del colore\n- Dopo un caso clinico confermato, non ripetere l'incrocio parentale e comunicare lo stato all'acquirente

Le gangliosidosi sono diagnosticate mediante attivitĂ enzimatica nei leucociti e test molecolare; la diagnosi differenziale include altre encefalopatie progressive del cucciolo. A- ed E-locus non predicono malattia; informare l'acquirente del loro carattere descrittivo.
