Pack Shiba inu: GM1-Gangliosidosis, GM2-Gangliosidosis, A-locus y E-locus

Panel multienfermedad para el Shiba inu que agrupa cuatro pruebas moleculares: gangliosidosis GM1 (GLB1), gangliosidosis GM2 (HEXB) y dos loci de capa —A-locus (ASIP) y E-locus (MC1R, alelo e1)—. Combina dos enfermedades neurometabólicas graves, ambas autosómicas recesivas y letales en homocigosis, con dos marcadores de capa de utilidad para la cría.
Incidencia
Raza aplicable: Shiba inu. GM1 (GLB1): frecuencia de portadores en torno al 1-3 % descrita en Japón (Uddin et al., 2013; PMID 23819787); fuera de Japón, datos limitados. GM2 (HEXB): variante rara pero distribuida (Kolicheski 2017; Wang 2018), sin cifras fiables de frecuencia. A-locus y E-locus: rasgos de capa sin frecuencia poblacional publicada de forma sistemática (datos limitados).
Manejo del criador
- Genotipa reproductores antes de la cubrición; el panel cubre cuatro condiciones/marcadores en una sola muestra
- Para GM1 y GM2 (recesivas): no cruzar dos portadores — riesgo del 25% de homocigotos afectos; portador×libre es seguro para la descendencia destinada a cría si se testa
- Para A- y E-locus: orientan la previsión de capa; no implican enfermedad, pero informan al comprador de la genética de color
- Tras un caso clínico confirmado, no repetir el cruce parental y comunicar el estatus al comprador
- Para GM1 y GM2 (recesivas): no cruzar dos portadores — riesgo del 25% de homocigotos afectos; portador×libre es seguro para la descendencia destinada a cría si se testa
- Para A- y E-locus: orientan la previsión de capa; no implican enfermedad, pero informan al comprador de la genética de color
- Tras un caso clínico confirmado, no repetir el cruce parental y comunicar el estatus al comprador
Notas del especialista
Verifica el panel exacto que ofrece cada laboratorio. Las gangliosidosis son diagnósticos por actividad enzimática en leucocitos y test molecular; el diagnóstico diferencial incluye otras encefalopatías progresivas del cachorro. A- y E-locus no predicen enfermedad; informar al comprador de su carácter descriptivo.
